Heyy ppl! How's your holidays coming along? Fun? Busy? Boring?

Anyways, with regards to the class chalet, it has been changed to BBQ. Initially our plan is to book Costa Sands (Pasir Ris). However, after some discussion with mm, a BBQ will be better. Note that for costa sands, there's no special discount for civil servants especially during this peak season. Moreover, the place is kinda small and we cant sort of play around within the chalet. Remember our $100 we won? Why not invest in a better 3D 2N chalet next yr, June. For March next yr, Im certain most will be busy for their CCAs. Thus, i think we will organise a class BBQ for now and then chill out next yr in June! This will certainly help us reduce the cost. P.S we nid some fun in the midst for preparation for Os lvl nxt yr too!

The following are the suggested outline:
Date - 13th Dec 2007 (Thurs)
Venue - mm's Condo (If anyone wana use their condo, please give me a call)
Time - BBQ start at 5pm officially.
However, b4 that, we may wish to meet out earlier to have fun in the parks etc before attending the BBQ. Any suggestions?

OK, my first time posting something here ... What should I say?

The reason why the title is blank is just because my mind is blank blank blank; I've absoloutely no inspiration or creativity to brainstorm on what exactly to put up there in the column we call the title.

And the reason why there's no obvious theme to what I'm writing is because there's none at all; really, I've no idea on what to write here. Write about school, perhaps? Can't, schooldays are too mundane; I've absoloutely no opinions on school activities.

Hmmm.. After some discussion, me and Andrea have decided to confer Vivien as the Prime Overall-in-Charge for the Class Tee.. Therefore, the Congress of the Class Tee is as follows:

Prime Overall-in-Charge: Vivien
Deputy Overall-in-Charge: Andrea and Soon Keong
Overall-in-Charge: Amanda and Siew Chen

So far, the latest plans are:
1) Lime-Green Polo/Dri fit Zip Collar Tees
2) Words and Designs in Black
3) The AHS design remains on the back, designed by Welfare ICs
4) On the front, there will be a small '3A clef' Logo' invented by JJ and further designed by Welfare ICs
5) At either the left or right hand bottom corner of the front, there will be a personalized name that is vertically down.. Meaning that for eg - dreA(:. or s.k that is printed vertically-oriented..

Our shirt will most likely be done at Art Serve, there's a branch at Jurong and Tampines.. As i hv acquaintance with the lady boss aka the director and graphic designer of that shop, i can try to nego for a good price and a latest design of shirts and also to get the shirt printed and ready asap.. I will be present to discuss with the her along with Vivien.. However, i will be overseas from next week.. So, it will be great if we can settle the designs and plans by this week..

Unfortunately, this Class teE is dependent on a few factors:
1) Design may subjected to change if PRICE is too eX
2) There may or may not be enough stocks/sizes of the material and shirt we want
3) They may not be able to rush in time
4) We need everyone's cooperation and suggestions/feedbacks

Go along this road and turn into Jalan Loyang Besar. Take this small lane until you see the road sign directing you to aloha loyang (a left-turn, after which you should take the road winding right).

Rules & Regulations for Student Participants

Code of Conduct:

Maintain protocol and decorum to uphold the good name of our country and Anglican High School
Observe exemplary behaviour and show consideration and respect for others at all times
Exhibit social graces such as being polite to others. Do not form cliques. Do not, by word or action, offend the sensitivities of others.
Respect the laws, customs and traditions of the country you are visiting.
Place group interest before self interest.
Be familiar with the details of the programme for the learning journey you are on.
Show enthusiasm, participate actively and carry out the tasks you are assigned to do during and after the field-trip in a serious manner.
No excessive noise in coach or during the trip
No student is to pursue his/her own activity. Do move in assigned groups (especially to toilets etc.) and at least in threes.
Be responsible and take proper care of your passport and personal belongings at all times. (Bring not more than S$20.)

Discipline Measures:

Appropriate actions will be taken against any student found guilty of breaking any of the rules.

Profession: Studio Newsreporter (Media)

Parties involved: Class

Description of profession - A newsreporter is, broadly speaking, a person that presents a news show on television, radio or the Internet. The term is not commonly used by people in the industry as they tend to use more descriptive, and sometimes country-specific, terms. Examples include "newsreader", "newscaster", “news presenter” and "news anchor".

Description of booth and event – During the event, tables and chairs will be set up in the orientation of a news studio, where the reporter will sit in the middle with some scripts and notes in the center. Then camera/video camera will be set up on a tripod. In addition, some notices/posters/vanguard sheets will also be pinned up. They will include the description and overview of the career. Laptops maybe present to show the video clip. Teachers and students can then try to be a newsreporter by sitting in the same position and attempt to read the script and present just like how a reporter does in his/he daily job. The Camera crew will then help to video so that he/she can then look at their performance.

Activity Highlight – Our class be creating a video of a news programme similar to those seen on TV, inclusive of adding related footage. However, the news may not be factual. It will most likely be some current affairs such as global warming or politics etc.

Anyways, im here fur some annoncement.. Okk.. Just to inform eu, our class will be doing a newsreporter (media) for the Career Booth Competition amongst Sec3.. It will be held after the NYE..

Basically, emphasis is on using a journalist approach in getting the day-to-day details of the chosen career and capturing the interesting aspects of the job such as challenges, the perks of the career. (Eg - what a teacher reali face, how the expectations have changed over time, tools and activities used by a teacher etc) then students can also visit the workplace to gather data by interviewing workers and collect relevant materials to use for presentation. Extra points will be given for involving parents. And we must have at least an 'activity highlight (eg - games, video etc)

However, we have to come up with a proposal (me and andrea will be doing).. But we will nid 3A's help in doing this.. So, far, the proposal looks like this:

My first submission of anything pertaining to design! How's this on the class tee? Although of course it wouldn't be that messy.

Let me explain the picture: The 3 from the 3A'07 also looks like 三, proclaiming our LOVE for our mother tongue. 2nd pic shows the inverse 3A'07, which is LOVE! Three cheers for double entdres!

Anyway, I know that it isn't really very nice, but this is to get the ball rolling for more suggestions of the design on the class tee. =) Keep those designs pouring in!

Venue: Mr Mok's Condo (EastPoint Green)
Date: 6 Feb 2007 (Friday)
Time: 1030 to 1630
Meeting Place: 1000 at Simei MRT Entrance
Fees; S$8 per person
Attendance: At least around 26 (some maybe coming later)

Note - It is advisable to wear DARK-coloured clothing and to bring extra clothing. Organisers will NOT be held responsible for loss of valuables, bad ingestion or any other mis-happenings. Therefore, please ensure your own SAFETY and take charge of your personal belongings. Please bring along extra $15 just in case. We may still be having activities that are impromptu after BBQ.

The oraganising committee has prepared all the food and drinks. If you want, you may bring along swimming costumes, cards etc.. However, valuable things are not encouraged. the BBQ will be officially starting at around 12 or 1 pm.

Report: We had spent a total of S$186.09 on the food.. The excess will go to class fund or maybe used to buy other food/drink/game materials during the Outing. Please notify the committee if there is any changes in your attendance or medical conditions.

Initial Details are as follows:

Venue: Mr Mok's Condo
Plans: BBQ, Card Games
Date: 6 April 2007 (Good Friday)
Time: Start fire at 3+pm, end at 8pm
Meeting Location: Simei MRT Entrance at 2.30pm (Going to have a 8 min walk)
Fees: S$8 per person (Excess goes to class fund)
No. of ppl who are not going: Around 12+
Facilities available: Swimming Pool, Function Room, 4 BBQ pits (requires booking)

However, There maybe a change in plan. I have received notice from Mr Mok that ALL BBQ Pits (Evening time slots) are FULLY booked. So, we have a few options left - If you all want, Mr Mok can help us to book the pit that starts at 1o30hrs and end at 1700hrs, So meaning that our BBQ time will be brought forward to 10.30am to 4.30pm... If not, we can change venue, or worst - cancel BBQ and plan other events..

It is reminded that Organisers will not be held responsible for any lost of personal belongings or any mis-happenings throughout this event, therefore, it is advisable to observe safety and cautious during such events.

I have made a stand that this vile, filthy wretch, which goes by the name of 'holiday homework', absolutely must be abolished!

It is a complete contradiction in itself and thereforeshould be deemed redundant! According to Oxford dictionary, holiday means ' abreak from work or school' and in the WorldNet Dictionary, 'a day dedicated to rest'. This words originates from the words 'Holy Day', none other than referring to the Sabbath. If this is the case, the very act of giving this 'holiday homework', the slightest mention and even the mere thought of it is sacrilegious!

One can only stigmatise this foul beast as a form of pure torture, striaght from the depths of the sick, twisted minds of the heretic. It is an abomination! An act of blantant heresy! It should be eradicated from the face of this fragile earth, never to scar future generations with the endless torment and constant toiling, slaving away at their papers in the gloom of the dark indoors, while the beaming sun outside awaits the poor children to feel its welcoming warmth.

Come, stand with me, my dear brothers and fellow supporters, as we seek out the evil masterminds who are the cause of this menace, who plot and scheme all day long for new methods of how to pass this shameful task undetected.

3. Social Studies - TB pg 71(compare and contrast), pg 82(inference). WB pg 31-32
4. Elementary Math - Hey!math. e-learning SETS
5. Additional Math - *refer to the slip of paper Mr Mok gave us*
6. Geography - WB pg 6-8. (only for those who haven't done it)
7. Chinese - For di1 ji2 hua3 wen3 students (HAHA) - si1 han2.
8. Chinese - Exam paper
9. English - Blog (and again, only for those who haven't done it)
10. English - Comprehension

oh yes! WE HAVE A SPA TEST FOR EACH OF OUR SCIENCES. ALL TESTING ON SKILL 1.
and we've 2 tests so far during the 1st week of term 2:
1. Chemistry - Formula and Equation test
2. Social Studies - Chapter 3 (on Britain)

so, jiayou and persevere on for these assignments! and please please PLEASE don't try to procrastinate, thinking that you can leave all of these assignments to the very last hour of the holiday. trust me, you can't finish it, unless you wanna be a superman. by all means, go.

i can infer that they seemed to be moving together as they r engrossed in looking at sth... Both Sources, shows that they are not looking at each other, or having any other personal contact. Therefore, this further proves that they may just be normal schoolmate as they r from e same school, based on their uniform.. In addition SOurce B (e 2nd pic), shows that they'r looking at e same directiong, signifying that sth muz have caught their attention.. it's a natural tendency to be distracted by sth and to move closer so as to get a better vision or view of that 'object' they'r seeing. To sum up, they must be just looking at something only...

Anyways, just a gentle reminder, there will be founder's day celebration aka 'prize-giving' on this coming weds.. Then at Term2 Week1, it will be a combined assembly fur Class Chairperson Investiture.. hehex.. If i never remember wrongly, Me n Andrea will be known as Class Chairperson, then e rest of e class com will be called Class leader.. So, in other words, this year, there will be a new kind of badge... Hope it will be cool n nice.. Then if eu r a CCA leader, eu will also have a diff. kind of badge.. LOL

Hey guys! One more week to end of term one! But school's so horrible not to even let us enjoy the last week of term one. We have 5 tests next week! (HCL people there's chinese on wednesday so we have an extra test on wednesday!)

ahem. regarding the source. as i hv earlier posted on the tagboard, i can infer that jz is a lady-killer----------- in the making. LOL. evidence: he is a lady-killer because there are apparently 3 and i repeat 3 ladies staring at him from outside the window. however, he is still in the making because he is *ahem* not shuai enough. that's all.
